Tim Conway Dies at 85

People Magazine is reporting that Tim Conway has passed away at age 85.

Conway is best known for his work on The Carol Burnett Show where he was known to ad-lib his sketches — often surprising his costars. He won a Golden Globe Award for the series in 1976. He also won Emmys for the series in 1973, 1977, and 1978.

Conway is also known for playing Ensign Parker on the 1960s comedy McHale’s Navy, voicing Barnacle Boy in SpongeBob SquarePants, and playing Dorf in a wide series of films. He also made a special appearance on the second season of 30 Rock, for which he received an Emmy.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, his stepdaughter, his six biological children, and two granddaughters.
