Snes Classic Shipping More Units, Nes Classic Returning

Due to incredibly high demand for the upcoming Super Nintendo Entertainment System: Super NES Classic Edition system, Nintendo has announced plans to ship the retro-inspired product into 2018 to help appease those hoping to get their hands on one. Nintendo’s original plans were to cease shipments at the end of the year.

As if that wasn’t enough good news, Nintendo has also announced that more units of the SNES Classic Edition will ship on its September 29th launch day in the U.S. than were shipped of NES Classic Edition all last year, with additional shipments regularly arriving in stores.

And while we’re talking about the NES Classic Edition, Nintendo has announced plans to bring the highly sought after system back to store shelves. As of right now, no further information is available, but reports are saying that the unit should arrive sometime next summer.

The Super NES Classic Edition features 21 legendary SNES games such as Super Mario World, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, and Super Metroid and launches on Sept. 29 with a suggested retail price of only $79.99. The NES Classic Edition comes with 30 classic NES games such as the original Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, and Donkey Kong.
