Star Wars Celebration kicked off today in Orlando; but sadly, there was one notable absence when the rest of the Star Wars cast took the stage during 40th anniversary panel. Of course, I’m referring to Carrie Fisher who passed away last year leaving not only the Star Wars community heartbroken, but all who had crossed her path during the course of her life. Instead, those in attendance were treated to a moving tribute to one of the most beloved actresses of her generation. Played at the end of the panel, and followed by John Williams conducting a live performance of “Leia’s Theme,” this tribute is a great reminder of how much she is still loved and adored.
