We finally have our first look at Warner Bros. Animation’s adaptation of Batman: Hush. The upcoming animated movie features the voice talents of Jason O’Mara as Batman, Jennifer Morrison as Catwoman, and Maury Sterling as Hush.
The film is based on the 12-issue Batman “Hush” storyline that ran from 2002 through 2003. The arc, written by Jeph Loeb and drawn by Jim Lee, depicts a mysterious stalker, head wrapped in bandages, called Hush, who seems intent on sabotaging Batman from afar, and who seems to know an awful lot about the Caped Crusader. It utilizes a large number of guest appearances by Batman villains, including Joker, Clayface, and Poison Ivy. The storyline also focuses on the romantic feelings between Batman and Catwoman.
An adaptation of the seminal DC classic tale, Batman: Hush centers on a shadowy new villain known only as Hush, who uses Gotham’s Rogues Gallery to destroy Batman’s crime-fighting career, as well as Bruce Wayne’s personal life – which has already been complicated by a relationship with Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman. Coming late summer 2019.
“Hush” is one of the best Batman storylines ever. If you haven’t read it yet, I can’t recommend it highly enough. And if the movie manages to stay faithful to the comic, then we should be in for a real treat.
