If you are a programmer or math geek, you are about to have your mind blown by this awesome little bit of code. Batuhan Bozkurt has made a little applet that uses cellular automation to make music based upon a set of blocks you place around a grid. Each time a block hits the edge of the grid, it plays a certain note. Every time a block hits another block, it turns clockwise. Put enough of them on the grid going different directions and you generate music that will never repeat.

I’ve had mine going for over an hour and have yet to grow tired of it.
