(Good News my father is doing much better, and should be able to go home in a few days. He had the best kind of inter cranial hemorrhaging. So I thought I’d post an additional slightly more light post as well)

Let me get it out of the way first. I am a staunch heterosexual. I like girls. I once broke my own hand over a girl I fancied who wasn’t even my girlfriend (ask Zuke he tried to set the bone, with emphasis on tried). However despite this I have to admit that I have a bit of a man crush. I’ve narrowed them down to my top 3. (Don’t worry my wife already knows). So in no particular order:

A recent pole in People Magazine said that the man most men would hook up with given the choice is Brad Pitt, and the woman that women would most like to get to know in the biblical sense was Angelina Jolie. I know that geeks like nothing more than to be unique but I have to go with the herd on this one. Brad is a frighteningly handsome man. I’ve been a fan since Sleepers in 1996.

Number two is my weird choice. I’ve been watching Chuck lately and it reminded me how unbelievably cool Adam Baldwin is. Despite what some though he is not one of those Baldwin’s, but a different version altogether. Most of us think of him best from geek fav Firefly/Serenity or as the bad ass Air Force officer in Independence Day. he’s cool, tough, and pretty dorky to boot.

And last but not least the man who despite a season ending knee injury will continue to hold a special place in the small small gay portion of my heart. New England Patriots superstar quarterback Tom Brady. He’s brought us three Super Bowls, 2 of which he was MVP, and taken us to a fourth. He holds numerous records, and is dating Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bündchen. What else can I say, the man is dreamy. I’m not saying I’d go all the way with Tom, but I’d at least cuddle. He can even be the little spoon.

Some, or all, of you may be wondering if the old Doc has finally lost it. Well just in case I’ll include a pic of my female celebrity crush.

I’ve been averaging three hours of sleep a night for most of the last month, and I don’t even have any late night feedings to blame. Also I’ve writing this at almost 2 in the morning, I woke up around 7 yesterday morning, and my alarm is set to go off in four hours. I’d like to think that one of the things I contribute to the blog are the odd posts. Both you, and I, are not really sure what I’ll be writing about each week. However open your mind and have a little fun with it. For example I know off the top of my head two of my wife’s celebrity crushes, and lets face it I’m about as likely to snugle up in front of a fireplace with Tom as she is with Bogey.

So as I always seem to say at the end of these, lets hear what you’ve got to say.

  • My wife and I have our “Top 5” people that we would get with if we had the chance.  Since the chance will never present itself, it’s not really a danger.  None of the people in my 5 are guys, but if I had to put some in that were it’d be Sean Connery (Hunt For Red October era) and Daniel Craig.

It’s good that you balanced the article out with Alba.  She could take on all four of you.  You listed your Man Crushes, then topped it off with the Man Crusher.  Very good.  I think she was genetically engineered or something, because she’s inhumanly good looking.  I don’t know any other way to describe it.

  • I’m fairly certain that women don’t consider the term “man crusher” to be a compliment.

Jessica Alba was genetically engineered.  Remember Dark Angel?  I’m really glad that you posted her pic because I was starting to worry that the site was being re-oriented without my knowledge.

As for man crushes, I can honestly say that I don’t have one.  I’m a guy.  I like girls.  Man crushes are something that I don’t do.
