Kevin Smith Unveils New MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE Series

Masters of the Universe: Revelation

Just as everyone is debating if they are going to abandon Netflix for Disney+ this fall, Kevin Smith unveiled plans for a new animated series based on the classic 1980s Masters of the Universe toys. Masters of the Universe: Revelation is a limited series that will pick up where the classic series left off, resolving some unresolved story lines and continuing with many of the characters’ journeys.

Smith, who will serve as executive producer and showrunner said “I’m Eternia-ly grateful to Mattel TV and Netflix for entrusting me with not only the secrets of Grayskull, but also their entire Universe. In Revelation, we pick up right where the classic era left off to tell an epic tale of what may be the final battle between He-Man and Skeletor! Brought to life with the most metal character designs Powerhouse Animation can contain in the frame, this is the Masters of the Universe story you always wanted to see as a kid!”

What do you think about this announcement? If you were contemplating canceling your Netflix account, is it enough make you to change your mind?
