We’re generally not big fans of reboots, but rumors have it that it may once again be time for Animaniacs, and we’re okay with that. IndieWire is reporting that an updated version of the popular 90’s cartoon is in the works and that Steven Spielberg, who developed the original series after the success of Tiny Toon Adventures, is expected to be involved with crafting the reboot.
At this point, it appears that an Animaniacs return to the small screen is in the extremely early stages. In fact, even Rob Paulsen, the voice of characters such as Yakko and Pinky doesn’t know anything about it.
Hmm. I know nothing about the reboot but it sure would be a gas, huh? https://t.co/GxqqpuxB8p

There is also no home for the series as of yet; however, with the enduring popularity of the original episodes, and considering another 90’s reboot, Fuller House, is one of the most popular shows on Netflix, I think that their picking up the show would be a smart move.
And because Animaniacs provided us with timeless animation and amazing music, here are a few videos to help get you in the mood for a reboot.
Animaniacs ran for 99 episodes and aired from from 1993 to 1995 on Fox Kids, before moving to Kids’ WB from 1995 to 1998 and starred Rob Paulsen, Tress MacNeille, Jess Harnell, Sherri Stoner, and Maurice LaMarche. It also spawned the WB prime time spin-off Pinky and the Brain.
