For years, Brian Michael Bendis has been one of the biggest and most well known writers in the Marvel Universe. So much so, that for some readers, he is Marvel Comics. He began working at Marvel Comics in 2000, revamping Peter Parker’s origin for a new generation in Ultimate Spider-Man. He then went on to create Jessica Jones in the Marvel MAX series Alias and followed that up with a definitive run on Daredevil. From there, he spent years writing Marvel’s premiere characters, including the X-Men, Iron Man, and the Defenders, and penning huge story lines such as House of M, Secret Invasion, and Civil War II. And it’s all over now as word comes that he’s signed an exclusive deal to write for DC Comics.
DC Comics’ Twitter account confirmed the news earlier this morning, indicating that Bendis was now writing exclusively for the publisher. The move effectively ends his long-term relationship with Marvel.

Bendis then added additional confirmation with his own statement via Twitter.
